Iowa’s Caitlin Clark Wows Fans as She Becomes NCAA’s No. 2 All-Time Women’s Scorer

Iowa guard Caitlin Clark has achieved the milestone of becoming the No. 2 all-time points leader in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history.

This accomplishment took place on Wednesday at Northwestern when she surpassed former Ohio State guard Kelsey Mitchell, who is currently a star for the Indiana Fever.

Starting the game with 3,389 points, Clark was initially ranked fourth in the all-time scoring list behind Kelsey Plum, Kelsey Mitchell, and Jackie Stiles. However, with an average of 32.0 points per game, she only needed five points to surpass Stiles and 14 to overtake Mitchell.

In the first quarter, Clark made a significant move by sinking a three-pointer, propelling her to the third position in the Division I all-time scoring list. Shortly thereafter, a second-quarter layup solidified her position as the No. 2 all-time scorer.

In the game against Northwestern, Clark showcased her exceptional skills, contributing 35 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds.

The No. 3 Hawkeyes secured a victory with a final score of 110-74. Currently trailing Kelsey Plum by 103 points for the top spot on the all-time scoring list, Clark’s remarkable performance has garnered praise from fans and observers alike.
