Namibian Captain Johan Deysel has extended an apology to Antoine Dupont after a head-on-head collision that had injured the France star enough to drop him out of the match.
As the reports came later on, the collision caused Dupont a facial fracture, which has put his gameplay for this remaining session in doubt. The France star was seen on a toll of good action during the first half of the match against Namibia, till he faced the accident and could not continue to play in the later half.
Dupont had met with the injury during France’s lead of 54-0. Deysel was given a yellow card for the collision, which was later upgraded to red after a review by the television match official.
Deysel spoke up about the incident and extended an apology for Dupont. The player has claimed that he didn’t mean any harm as he extended his best wishes to Antoine Dupont.

According to the player, everything happened too quickly, and he couldn’t get his head out of the way quickly enough, resulting in a head clash. He realizes that he is the one at fault.
Deysel had spoken with the France head coach, Fabien Galthie, immediately after the match and had sent his best wishes and apologies to Antoine, both personally and through the France team doctor.
The French Rugby Federation has spoken up on Dupont’s injury, but it remains uncertain how much time it could take the player to recover from it.
The Deysel-Dupont head clash is the headline news in France at the moment, as the Les Bleus player may have to drop out for the rest of the tournament.
Wales head coach Warren Gatland and England scrum-half Danny Care have also sent their best wishes to Dupont. The fans and spectators are all stunned and wishing for a smooth and fast recovery of the France star.
