Keegan Bradley celebrates after winning the match

Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley will gain some valuable experience before he leads the American team at Bethpage Black next year. Presidents Cup captain Jim Furyk has chosen Bradley to be an assistant for this year’s event in Canada.

Furyk had already selected Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard, and Kevin Kisner as his other assistant captains for the matches taking place from September 26 to 29 at Royal Montreal.

Bradley commented, “With the Ryder Cup coming up next year, this will be a great experience for me to learn about the team dynamics and how coaching and camaraderie help our players perform their best.”

Last month, in an unexpected move, Bradley was named Ryder Cup captain for the 2025 matches, despite having played in only two Ryder Cups and having no prior experience in a behind-the-scenes role.

Bradley had previously played in the Presidents Cup in 2013 at Muirfield Village.

Furyk said, “Keegan is a tremendous competitor with a bulldog mentality and we are looking forward to having his voice in the team room in Montreal.”
