Report: Texas’ Arch Manning Will Not Opt into EA Sports College Football 25

According to a report by Anwar Richardson of OrangeBloods, Texas quarterback Arch Manning has decided not to opt into EA Sports College Football 25. Manning’s decision stems from his desire to maintain his focus on his on-field performance.

EA Sports College Football 25, slated for release this summer, promises to include all 134 FBS teams. With over 10,000 athletes already signed up to be featured in the game, those who choose to participate will receive a minimum compensation of $600 along with a complimentary copy of the game.

In contrast to Manning, Quinn Ewers, Texas’ starting quarterback for 2023 and anticipated starter for the upcoming season, has opted in. This means Longhorn fans can expect to see at least one of their favorite quarterbacks represented in the game.

Ewers had an impressive performance last season, amassing 3,479 passing yards and 22 touchdowns, which led Texas to a College Football Playoff appearance.

During his freshman year at Texas, Manning had limited playing time, completing only two passes for a total of 30 yards while serving as backup to Ewers.

Manning, rated as the top prospect in the class of 2022 by 247Sports’ composite list, aims to secure a starting position during the offseason. However, competing against Ewers for the spot presents a significant challenge.

By prioritizing his development on the field rather than his inclusion in EA Sports College Football 25, Manning may be positioning himself for long-term success.
