The Qualifying session for the Saudi Arabian GP unfolded with few surprises. Fernando Alonso notably stood out, clinching a P4 qualification. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen continued his dominant streak, topping the charts in Q1, Q2, and Q3.

Despite the predictable outcome, F1 expert Peter Windsor expressed astonishment at Verstappen’s performance.

In his latest YouTube video, Windsor admitted to underestimating Verstappen’s prowess. Initially anticipating a tighter race for pole position, Windsor was taken aback by the Dutchman’s further widening lead.

“I was probably a bit optimistic and ambitious after Thursday when I said that it would be a bit more exciting for pole position at this circuit than is normally the case,” remarked Windsor.

Verstappen’s success was attributed to meticulous preparation by his team, ensuring the RB20’s balance was flawless. This allowed Verstappen to navigate the circuit’s high-speed corners with confidence and maintain impressive top speeds, ultimately securing his 34th career pole position with ease.
