Xavier Worthy, the Texas wide receiver, has made waves at the Scouting Combine, clocking a blistering 4.21-second 40-yard dash, setting a new record. In an interview with USA Today, Worthy expressed his aspirations to follow in the footsteps of Tyreek Hill in Kansas City.

Worthy, inspired by the dynamic duo of Patrick Mahomes and Hill during their time together with the Chiefs, envisions himself as a vital element in the Chiefs’ offense, particularly now that Hill has moved to Miami.

Expressing his admiration for Mahomes’ improvisational skills and the Chiefs’ utilization of Hill, Worthy voiced his desire to join their ranks. “In a perfect world, I definitely would want to go to the Chiefs,” Worthy remarked. “Just the way Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs improvise and use you. They had Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I feel like that would be a perfect fit for me.”

While Hill holds the title of the NFL’s fastest player, his journey to the league didn’t include an invitation to the Combine due to a tumultuous college career marked by a domestic violence incident that led to his expulsion from Oklahoma State University.

Despite his confidence in becoming the fastest player in the NFL by 2024, Worthy remains grounded, acknowledging that he can’t outrun every sprinter.

When questioned about potentially beating Usain Bolt, who clocked 4.22 seconds in a 40-yard dash at the NFL Experience event during the 2019 Super Bowl, Worthy humbly admitted that Bolt would outpace him. “No,” Worthy responded, dismissing the notion. “His 40 was in shoes and sweats. There’s no comparison. I’m not even gonna disrespect him.”

While he may not rival Bolt’s speed, Worthy is poised to outpace defensive backs across the NFL, possibly while donning a Chiefs uniform.
