Reflecting on his decision, Luck cited the toll of continuous pain and rehabilitation as significant factors in his departure from football. His career was marred by injuries, including a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder in 2015, which sidelined him for the entire 2017 season.
Despite setbacks, Luck had a standout season in 2018. However, ongoing physical issues surfaced during the following offseason, leading to his decision to step away from the sport. This marked the abrupt end of the career of a highly regarded college prospect, known for his talent and potential in the NFL draft.
