That man again. Omar Marmoush scored late with his second goal as Eintracht Frankfurt tied 3-3 with Bayern Munich in an exciting Bundesliga match on Sunday.

The 25-year-old forward from Egypt also assisted the other goal and has now scored in five consecutive games, bringing his total to eight goals and six assists in six Bundesliga matches this season.

“I told him that a second year with us would do him good because he’s improving and hasn’t reached his full potential,” said Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller. “And you can see that this fantastic season, he was involved in every goal again.”

Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe set up the ball for Marmoush, who sprinted past three Bayern defenders before scoring in the fourth minute of injury time.

Bayern’s Thomas Müller then hit the post, but Frankfurt goalkeeper Kauã Santos managed to secure the ball, leading to celebrations in Frankfurt’s Waldstadion. The players celebrated with the team’s live eagle mascot in front of their fans.

Bayern had controlled the game from the beginning, with Frankfurt struggling to keep possession. Michael Olise missed a good opportunity early on, and Santos made saves against Müller and then a flying save to stop Olise again.

Kim Min-jae scored in the 15th minute following a corner, rewarding Bayern for their 84% possession of the ball.

However, Ansgar Knauff passed the ball through Aleksandar Pavlović’s legs to Marmoush, who sped past Raphaël Guerreiro and scored with a low shot in the 22nd minute.

Frankfurt had previously won every time Marmoush scored. Bayern tried to respond, but Santos denied Müller another chance.

Then, Marmoush broke free of Dayot Upamecano on a counterattack and assisted Hugo Ekitiké, who scored Frankfurt’s second goal in the 35th minute.
