He finished with a batting average of .310, along with 54 home runs, 130 RBIs, and 59 stolen bases. Ohtani’s prior recognition includes being named the American League’s outstanding player in 2021 and 2023, showcasing his consistent excellence in the league.
Rhys Hoskins of the Milwaukee Brewers received the Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award for his inspirational leadership, alongside the Philanthropist of the Year Award. Hoskins, together with his wife Jayme, has made significant contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, raising over $1 million to support the cause. Additionally, Dave Winfield was honored with the Curt Flood Award for his lifelong commitment to advancing players’ rights and his dedication to the players’ union, reflecting his influential role in the sport.
In other award categories, Chris Sale from Atlanta was named the National League’s outstanding pitcher and comeback player, while Tarik Skubal from Detroit earned the same title for the American League. Tyler O’Neill from Boston was also recognized as the American League comeback player.
