New Orleans Saints players celebrates his interception in the 2nd half

New Orleans Saints (4-8) at New York Giants (2-10), 1 p.m. ET, FOX

The Giants lost their seventh game in a row last week, and they have no chance of making the playoffs now. New Orleans won its first two games under interim head coach Darren Rizzi but lost to the Los Angeles Rams 21-14 last week.

The Saints need to win their last five games to have a chance at a winning record, but Rizzi is still hopeful because no one has taken control of the NFC South. Both teams are dealing with injuries, with Giants defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence (elbow) out and Saints playmaker Taysom Hill out for the season with a knee injury.

Hill is a team captain and plays many roles for the Saints, including quarterback, running back, fullback, tight end, and special teams leader. For the Giants, quarterback Drew Lock will start again after his first start of the season last week.

Lock led the team to a touchdown on the first possession and gave the Giants their first lead in seven games. The Giants might not have their top receiver, Malik Nabers, who is dealing with a hip injury from practice on Thursday.

New York Jets (3-9) at Miami Dolphins (5-7), 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa believes the team can still make the playoffs, and he’s undefeated against the Jets (5-0). Tagovailoa has been playing great since Week 8, leading the NFL in completion percentage (77.3) and passer rating (116.3), and ranking second in the league with 1,642 passing yards.

The Jets will try to play spoiler, but it’s been hard to predict their performance this season. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is looking to throw multiple touchdown passes against the Dolphins after doing so against the Patriots and Bills earlier this season.

Running back Breece Hall could be key in helping Rodgers achieve this goal, as he ranks third among AFC running backs with 1,093 scrimmage yards. The Dolphins’ De’Von Achane is one touchdown away from being the second player in franchise history to score 10 or more touchdowns in each of his first two seasons.

Atlanta Falcons (6-6) at Minnesota Vikings (10-2), 1 p.m. ET, FOX

Kirk Cousins, who left Minnesota to sign with the Atlanta Falcons, will return to Minnesota this week, but his performance has been poor lately with no touchdowns and six interceptions in his past three games.

Cousins is second in Vikings history with 171 touchdown passes and third with 23,265 passing yards. However, he won’t be playing as the Vikings’ top receiver, Justin Jefferson, will be on the field.

Both Atlanta and Minnesota are two of the five NFC teams that missed the playoffs last year but have records of .500 or better entering Week 14. Since head coach Kevin O’Connell took over in 2022, the Vikings have been strong in close games, with a 24-9 record in games decided by eight points or fewer, tied for the most in the league in a three-year period.

Las Vegas Raiders (2-10) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6), 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Rookie running back Bucky Irving has been a big help in the Buccaneers’ backfield, especially during a brief stretch without quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Irving had 185 scrimmage yards last week, including a career-high 152 rushing yards, and Mayfield has been excellent at home with 24 touchdown passes in 14 games in Tampa. The Raiders are still trying to make sense of their loss to Kansas City last week, when a game-ending fumble was initially thought to be a penalty while the Raiders were driving for a potential game-winning field goal.

The Raiders’ young playmaker, tight end Brock Bowers, had 10 catches for a career-high 140 yards against Kansas City and leads all tight ends with 84 receptions. Coach Antonio Pierce credited quarterback Aidan O’Connell’s fearlessness for keeping the Raiders competitive in that game, as he threw for 340 yards and two touchdown passes.

Carolina Panthers (3-9) at Philadelphia Eagles (10-2), 1 p.m. ET, FOX

The Eagles have the No. 1 defense in the NFL since Week 6, allowing just around 12 points per game. They’ve won eight consecutive games, and with the Detroit Lions winning on Thursday, the Eagles need to keep winning to have a chance at home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been on a streak, already having two 11-game winning streaks in his career. If he wins this game, he will become the first quarterback since 1950 to have three winning streaks of nine or more games in his first five seasons.

The Panthers have shown improvement, with former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young leading the offense. He hasn’t had a star running back like Saquon Barkley, but his offensive line has helped them stay competitive in recent games.

Cleveland Browns (3-9) at Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3), Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

The Steelers lost to the Browns 24-19 in Week 12 and struggled against defensive end Myles Garrett, who had three sacks in that game and now has 98.5 career sacks. He’s closing in on Pittsburgh linebacker T.J. Watt’s 106 sacks, who had two sacks last week against the Bengals.

It would be surprising if the Browns win this season sweep, as they’ve lost 20 consecutive regular-season games in Pittsburgh. Their last win in Pittsburgh was in 2003. Quarterback Russell Wilson threw for three touchdowns and 414 passing yards against Cincinnati, while the Browns have been better offensively with Jameis Winston at quarterback in place of the injured Deshaun Watson (Achilles).

Winston has led the Browns to score 24 or more points in three of his five starts, while Watson’s highest output was 18 points.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-10) at Tennessee Titans (3-9), 1 p.m. ET, CBS

Jacksonville is now competing for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after placing quarterback Trevor Lawrence (concussion) on injured reserve. With Lawrence possibly needing shoulder surgery, Mac Jones will start as the quarterback.

Jones had one of his best performances of the season last week, completing 20 of 32 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. However, it wasn’t enough to stop the Jaguars’ losing streak, which has reached five games.

Jacksonville is struggling in many areas, ranking 25th in scoring, tied for 29th in scoring defense, and 28th in total offense. The Titans also took a step back last week with a 42-19 loss to Washington, after upsetting the Texans the week before.

Seattle Seahawks (7-5) at Arizona Cardinals (6-6), 4:05 p.m. ET, CBS

In their previous meeting in Week 12, the Seahawks defeated the Cardinals 16-6, and it was a big game for Defensive Player of the Year candidate Leonard Williams, who had 2.5 sacks and a 69-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Williams had another strong performance last week, including a 92-yard pick-six, two sacks, and a blocked extra point in a five-point victory over the Jets. The Cardinals were in first place when the teams last met, and they’ll need to win this week to climb back to the top of the NFC West.

Tight end Trey McBride has been playing well, with 12 receptions in each of the past two games. The Cardinals’ offensive line has gone multiple games without allowing a sack, but they’ll face a tough challenge from Williams and the Seahawks’ defense, especially with the running game struggling.

Running back James Conner had just seven carries for eight yards in the first meeting with the Seahawks.

Buffalo Bills (10-2) at Los Angeles Rams (6-6), 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

Buffalo is one of the most successful franchises in the NFL right now, and head coach Sean McDermott could become the fifth coach ever to win 11 games in five consecutive seasons if the Bills win this game.

Buffalo clinched the AFC East division title in Week 13, becoming the first team since the 2009 Indianapolis Colts to secure a division with five weeks remaining in the season.

The Rams are focused on trying to make the playoffs and are competing for a wild-card spot. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is facing off against Buffalo’s Josh Allen, who has 20 touchdown passes this season. Allen called Stafford “one of the best quarterbacks” in the game.

Chicago Bears (4-8) at San Francisco 49ers (5-7), 4:25 p.m. ET, FOX

The Bears are running out of time to turn their season around after a coaching change. Thomas Brown has taken over as interim head coach, replacing Matt Eberflus, who led the team to a win over the 49ers in 2022.

The Bears’ quarterback Caleb Williams has thrown 232 passes without an interception, and he’s hoping to change the team’s fortunes. The Bears might have running back D’Andre Swift and wide receiver DJ Moore available, but both are dealing with injuries.

On the other side, the 49ers have also faced injury issues, with running backs Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason both placed on injured reserve. Rookie Isaac Guerendo has stepped in and scored his second rushing touchdown last week. The 49ers are hoping for contributions from left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) and defensive end Joey Bosa (oblique) soon.

Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (11-1), 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said his team can’t afford to make mistakes if they want to win in Kansas City. Quarterback Justin Herbert has avoided turnovers, going 10 consecutive games without an interception. He’s also close to joining Peyton Manning as the only two players to reach 20,000 passing yards in their first five seasons.

But the Chiefs have dominated the Chargers and have won six consecutive games against them. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 9-2 all-time against the Chargers, and the Chiefs hold a strong position in the AFC West.
