While Cody Rhodes emerged victorious in the WWE Royal Rumble twice consecutively, there’s a belief among veterans that another surprise twist might await the fans.
The unexpected victory of The American Nightmare over CM Punk in the final moments of the Royal Rumble left many astounded. Despite expectations leaning towards The Second City Saint’s triumph, Cody’s triumph fueled speculation that he was finally set to conclude his narrative at WrestleMania 40.
However, Dutch Mantell proposes that Triple H could execute a major plot twist. Speaking on Sportskeeda’s SmackTalk, the veteran suggested that with the change in the creative hierarchy after Vince McMahon’s departure, Cody might face another setback at WrestleMania.
“But that’s system I think is, that playbook is thrown out of the window. You got a new coach now. You got a new coach, you got a new regime, so now they are gonna do it there way… That what Sid described was all under Vince. So Vince is gone, now Triple H is taking over, and he may do some things that even surprise us. So, I think he took it back to what wrestling used to be, people guessing.”
