There is almost nothing about Met’s 2023 season that has gone as hoped. It even includes their erstwhile tandem aces, which are Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer. The highest payroll in MLB has definitely found itself all, but there is no hope, and it’s out of connection which leads up to the August 1 deadline and each future hall of famer that was dealt away.

The Duo has continued to make extremely good headlines regarding all their short time together in Queens. Speaking of all this, Mike Puma of the New York Post recently undertook an autopsy which even went wrong with the Mets this season.

Did Justin Verlander Have Constructive Criticism?

On the Day Monday, Verlander was even moved to respond in order to report from Puma. Verlander and Scherzer had a strained relationship bas Tiger teammates, and as a source, it is mentioned they, even as the pitchers, have worked towards harmony that too with the Mets, and this was an occasional discord.

Verlander was considered a diva according to this Met, which has ultimately caused Scherzer to grouse about his fellow who is a three-time Cy Young award winner.

Verlander even complained about the Met’s analytical department, which he even deemed to be inferior to the one that has served him in Houston. He was even tracked back to Astros on August 1, which was largely detached from all the teammates, which is according to the Met, and this didn’t even add to the team’s identity.

On the other side, Scherzer was the one who was traded to the Rangers on the 29th of July, and Bassitt the last season, which helped from the fabric of the clubhouse.

On Monday, there was a social media post seen which stated that he has nothing but respect for the Met’s organization, and he even enjoyed connecting with all of his teammates this season. For him, this was indeed a wonderful group.

This being said, they all know the success of the team is made up of more than just the players on the field, and everyone’s input is valuable enough. He was even sorry to hear that a staff member took offense to the constructive criticism on how they could improve.

The statement being parsed, it appears that it has been addressed to the Met’s analytical department, which presumably wasn’t seen eye to eye with Verlander on all the matters. He was left unaddressed in any tension with Scherzer, which even bubbled up while both of them were once again reuniting as teammates.

Whatsoever the case, Verlander and Scherzer are now considered as the AL west rivals and each of the teams has made legitimate designs not only on the division crown but also at the world series.  As with all these meta things these days, this one also has several layers on it to look upon.

The Mets are indeed looking at finishing this year below 0.5, and with the team being 54-65 at the last count, they have definitely lost their star rotation on the Mound and have traded Verlander and Scherzer.
