German center-back Antonio Rüdiger recently shared his picks for the ideal Real Madrid player, selecting attributes from some of football’s biggest stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modrić.
During an interview with GOAL, Rudiger crafted his dream player, beginning with Mesut Ozil’s left foot and Cristiano Ronaldo’s right foot, citing their exceptional skills. He and Ozil had previously played together nine times for the German national team.
Next, Rudiger highlighted Brazilian winger Vinícius Júnior for his remarkable speed. However, he made an intriguing choice by selecting Ferland Mendy for strength, likening him to an ox.
“Honestly, Ferland Mendy. That guy is strong like OX, man,” Rudiger remarked via GOAL.
For skills, Rudiger opted for the experience and finesse of Real Madrid veteran Luka Modrić, a former Ballon d’Or winner. Finally, he completed his ideal player with the football intelligence of his compatriot Toni Kroos.
Since joining Real Madrid from Chelsea in July 2022 on a free transfer, Rudiger has made 83 appearances for the club, contributing four goals and an assist. Additionally, he has celebrated victories in the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Supercopa de Espana, and Copa de Espana with the La Liga giants.
