Arsenal has reportedly placed a €50 million price tag on Eddie Nketiah amid interest from Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

The England international has frequently found himself playing second fiddle to first-choice striker Gabriel Jesus. Mikel Arteta has often favored Kai Havertz in the role, even in Gabriel Jesus’s absence.

Given these circumstances, it’s understandable that the 24-year-old academy product may be considering a departure from the Emirates. This season, he has started 10 Premier League matches and one in the Champions League, scoring six goals across both competitions.

While Arsenal hasn’t ruled out Nketiah’s potential sale, they are adamant about securing the aforementioned price and nothing less, according to Fichajes.net. With Nketiah’s contract extending until 2027, it’s unsurprising that Arsenal is quoting a substantial sum.

Having made 163 senior appearances across competitions since rising through the ranks at Arsenal, Nketiah has scored 38 goals and provided 10 assists. It appears unlikely that he will start Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Sheffield United on Monday (March 4).

Moreover, with Gabriel Jesus returning from injury, Nketiah’s opportunities off the bench may also be limited.
