The Colombian player has had an impressive start to the season, scoring six goals across all competitions even though he has only made one start.

The 20-year-old Duran is known as a strong substitute and came off the bench to score the winning goal when Villa defeated Bayern Munich 1-0 in the Champions League last week.

Duran’s new contract comes less than two years after he joined Villa from MLS team Chicago Fire for around $23 million in January 2023.

He has made 59 appearances for Villa and scored a total of 14 goals.
