Dani Olmo celebrates after scoring a goal

Barcelona received some disappointing news a day after continuing their winning streak for the season. Winger Dani Olmo has been diagnosed with a leg injury that will keep him out for four to five weeks.

Tests conducted on Monday revealed that Olmo has a right hamstring injury, which he picked up in the second half of the 4-1 victory against Girona in the Spanish league on Sunday.

Olmo had to be substituted in the 61st minute, just 15 minutes after scoring the team’s third goal in that game.

The Spain international, who was signed from Leipzig this season, has been an important player for coach Hansi Flick in the team’s successful start.

Barcelona has won all five of its league matches so far and leads the Spanish league by four points ahead of Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Villarreal.
