Barcelona teenager Pau Cubarsí and Tottenham right back Pedro Porro have been included again in Spain’s team for their Nations League matches against Denmark and Serbia.

Coach Luis de la Fuente had previously named Cubarsí in his larger squad for this summer’s European Championship, which Spain won, but he was not selected in the final team. The 17-year-old Cubarsí then helped Spain win Olympic gold in August.

Porro earned his third cap for Spain in March during a friendly against Colombia. He returns to the squad after showing strong performance with Spurs this season.

Martín Zubimendi is expected to take the place of the injured Rodri as Spain’s holding midfielder. The Real Sociedad player did well in this backup role for Rodri at Euro 2024.

De la Fuente revealed his squad on Friday for the home matches against Denmark on October 12 and Serbia three days later.

Denmark is at the top of their group with six points, while Spain has four points, Serbia has one, and Switzerland has zero.
