Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Lunin delivered a standout performance for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg against RB Leipzig.
Playing a pivotal role, the goalkeeper played a significant part in securing a narrow 1-0 victory for his team, making nine crucial saves throughout the match. Despite Leipzig’s notable expected goals-on-target (xGOT) of 2.44, Lunin’s exceptional performance ensured a clean sheet, allowing his team to secure an away win.
The solitary goal of the match came from Brahim Diaz, who showcased brilliance by maneuvering past defenders before executing a precise curling shot into the top-left corner in the 48th minute.
