Liverpool’s rising stars achieved a significant milestone during their 3-0 triumph over Southampton in the FA Cup fifth-round encounter. It marked the first instance in the club’s history where two players aged 18 or younger found the net in a single match.

The 18-year-old Lewis Koumas kicked off the scoring in the first half, followed by substitute forward Jayden Danns, who netted a brace in the second half, securing Liverpool’s advancement to the quarter-finals. The Reds have demonstrated impressive resilience in their recent fixtures, exhibiting determination and depth to secure victories.

In the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea, Liverpool faced the absence of key players such as Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson, and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Despite this, a combination of academy prospects and seasoned players rallied against Chelsea, clinching a narrow 1-0 victory courtesy of a late goal from Virgil van Dijk to secure the trophy.

Several players remained unavailable for the showdown against Southampton, resulting in a lineup boasting an average age of just 23. Nevertheless, Liverpool showcased admirable determination to secure a favorable outcome.

Currently leading the Premier League by one point, Liverpool also continues their journey in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
