Robbie Savage is confident that Manchester City will easily overcome Chelsea when the two Premier League powerhouses clash tomorrow (February 17).

Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, City has shown remarkable dominance over Chelsea, with their last defeat to the Londoners dating back to the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League final.

Although Chelsea managed to hold City to a draw in an exciting 3-3 encounter in November, Savage believes the Cityzens will prevail at the Etihad. He pointed to City’s impressive recent record against Chelsea and predicted a convincing 3-0 victory for the home side in an interview with Planet Sport:

“Since Chelsea triumphed over Man City in the Champions League final, they haven’t managed to defeat City in their last seven encounters.

Conversely, City has been on an extraordinary streak, winning 11 consecutive matches in all competitions. I expect their winning run to continue with a 3-0 victory over Chelsea in this game.”

Currently, Manchester City is in the midst of another title challenge, trailing leaders Liverpool by just two points with 15 games remaining and holding a game in hand over Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, under Mauricio Pochettino, has struggled in the league this season, languishing in 10th place, 13 points adrift of the top four and 20 points behind Guardiola’s formidable City.
