Sir Jim Ratcliffe has indicated that a decision regarding Mason Greenwood’s future at Manchester United remains open for consideration.

Ratcliffe revealed that United will reevaluate Greenwood’s status at the club, highlighting the need for a fresh assessment.

Greenwood was made available for transfer last August following an internal investigation into his conduct by United. However, the case against him was discontinued by the Crown Prosecution Service in February, clearing him of alleged offenses.

Currently, on loan at La Liga outfit Getafe, Greenwood has garnered 24 appearances and seven goals across all competitions.

Regarding the prospect of revisiting Greenwood’s situation given Ratcliffe’s stake in the club, he stated, “Yes. We will make a decision, and we will justify it.” Ratcliffe emphasized the importance of analyzing the facts impartially to reach a fair conclusion based on values.

Acknowledging that Greenwood is one of several players whose futures need to be addressed, Ratcliffe emphasized the importance of considering whether the player aligns with the club’s ethos and if he could sincerely represent Manchester United.

Greenwood’s last appearance for United was in January 2022 against West Ham, and his contract extends until 2025 with the option for a further year.
