With the Carabao Cup representing one of Chelsea’s two opportunities to claim silverware this season, Colwill exudes confidence ahead of the eagerly anticipated clash. The defender emphasized (as reported by Fabrizio Romano on X):
“We want to show we’re winners, that we can lift trophies for Chelsea. That is what we’re going there to do.”
Despite their struggles in the Premier League this season, currently sitting 10th in the standings with 35 points from 25 matches, Chelsea has earned a spot in the Carabao Cup final.
Facing off against league leaders Liverpool, they face a formidable challenge. The Blues secured their final berth by defeating Middlesbrough 6-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals, while Liverpool overcame Fulham 3-2 on aggregate in their respective semi-final tie.
