Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel lauded Devin Booker following his team’s 130-125 triumph against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. Booker showcased his scoring prowess by delivering 25 points, with 20 of those coming in the second half.

In a significant milestone, Booker surpassed Alvan Adams to claim the title of the second-leading scorer in franchise history. Walter Davis holds the coveted position of all-time leading scorer with 15,666 points, while Booker’s tally currently stands at 13,918 career points.

Vogel expressed admiration for Booker’s scoring prowess, recognizing his potential to become the greatest Sun of all time. Vogel remarked, “It’s just a matter of time; he is the best scorer this team has ever seen. It’s just a matter of time before he is the all-time leader.

He has a unique knack. This city and this franchise are very lucky to have him and be able to watch him 41 nights plus playoffs; they are very lucky.”

Booker’s exceptional scoring ability places him among the league’s elite offensive talents, although some may argue he isn’t even the top scorer on his own team.

While Kevin Durant is widely regarded as one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, Vogel’s praise for Booker might inadvertently cast a shadow over Durant’s achievements.

Nevertheless, Vogel’s remarks were likely not meant to undermine Durant, especially considering Durant’s relatively brief tenure with the Suns. When comparing their careers as members of the Suns, Booker’s contributions far outweigh Durant’s.
