Hayden Hurst didn’t play for the rest of the season after getting a concussion in Week 10, but he says he’s fine now.
Hurst was with the Panthers last season but is now with the Chargers. He said he could have returned to play later last season, but the Panthers’ management thought it was better for him to take more time off, especially since the team had the worst record in the NFL.
“I had a concussion, and for about a week after that, it was a bit uncertain. But I got a second opinion from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, and they said I was completely healthy,” Hurst said.
“The main reason I didn’t play for the rest of the season was because the team’s record was so bad. They were 2-15 or 2-13 at the time, so there was no rush for me to come back.”
Hurst thinks he’ll be an important player for the Chargers this season, and he hopes the team will have a lot to play for by the end of the season.
