Douglas Luiz

Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund found himself in a heated exchange with Douglas Luiz during his team’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Hojlund opened the scoring in the first half, capitalizing on space in the area to slot home from close range after Harry Maguire’s header.

Having scored in five consecutive matches across all competitions, the Danish player has been proving his worth since his £75 million move from Atalanta last summer.

However, Villa fought back in the second half, with Douglas Luiz equalizing the scores in the 67th minute.

As the game hung in the balance, substitute Scott McTominay netted a late header to secure a crucial win for United.

Following his substitution, Hojlund was met with jeers from the Aston Villa fans as he exited the field. In response, the 21-year-old held up both hands in a ‘2-1’ gesture toward the home supporters and urged them to calm down.

This gesture didn’t sit well with fellow goalscorer Luiz, who confronted Hojlund and grabbed his shirt as he walked toward the dugout.
