Martin Keown, a TalkSPORT analyst, criticized Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for positioning Alexis Mac Allister improperly during the opening period of the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The former Arsenal star expressed his dissatisfaction with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s choice to play Mac Allister in a defensive midfield position, highlighting his lack of approval.

According to the analyst, the 24-year-old midfielder should move a little bit further forward.

Keown stated in the 24minute: “Whether it’s the best role, not quite so sure. I think he would probably be better higher up in that midfield, and somebody else sits deep.”

Alexis Mac Allister’s Attempt to Fill Fabinho’s Shoes at Liverpool

During the first half against the Wolves, Mac Allister took 53 touches, a pass accuracy rate of 86.4%, one header, and three tackles.

In Liverpool’s midfield, Mac Allister is seeking to fill Fabinho’s position, but it’s important to remember that Fabinho is a more conventional defensive midfielder.

Although Mac Allister can play in more forward roles, he might not be as skilled at defending the backline as Fabinho. Although the Argentinean international has more dynamism, He doesn’t excel in recovering the ball as effectively as Fabinho did during his time at Liverpool.

Jermaine Jenas Unimpressed with Darwin Nunez’s Performance.

While watching Darwin Nunez play for Liverpool against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, Jermaine Jenas had some concerns about the sticker’s performance.

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has asked whether Darwin Nunez, the striker from Liverpool and Uruguay, possesses the natural goal-scoring abilities.

Jenas made the remarks when he was watching Darwin Nunez play today in the Premier League match between Liverpool and Wolves away from home at the Molineux Stadium.

Nunez had an opportunity to score for The Reds in the 65th minute. Jenas quoted on BBC Sport: “This is the one conversation we keep having about Darwin Nunez.

“Is he a natural goal scorer or not? You would think he’d be there, but he just switched off.”

Liverpool Expects Darwin Nunez to Shine in the Future

We believe that Liverpool’s striker Darwin Nunez will sooner or later find success with the team. While he sometimes misses opportunities and makes bad decisions, he can also display a lack of composure in his finishing.

However, Nunez possesses speed and often positions himself well on the field.

The primary issue with the striker is that he is not taking advantage of the opportunities that are presented to him. We anticipate that once Nunez begins scoring, a surge in his goal-scoring may follow.
