Paris Saint-Germain will need to wait a bit longer to secure the French league title. Despite Kylian Mbappé’s two goals and an assist in their 4-1 win over Lorient on Wednesday, there were no celebrations as second-place Monaco defeated Lille 1-0 later in the day.

PSG holds an 11-point lead in the standings with four games left. The team could potentially clinch its 12th French league title at home on Saturday against Le Havre.

PSG is aiming for a treble this season, with upcoming matches against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semifinals and Lyon in the French Cup final next month.

In the match against Lorient, PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé scored the opening goal in the 19th minute, followed by Mbappé doubling the lead with a stylish finish in the 22nd. Mbappé then assisted Dembélé for the third goal before sealing the win with his own goal in the 90th minute.

Despite a consolation goal from Lorient’s Mohamed Bamba in the 73rd minute, PSG held on for the victory, with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma making a crucial save in the 80th minute to secure the win.
