The game between the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates was canceled on Friday night due to rain in the forecast.

It will be rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday. The first game will start at 1:35 p.m., and the second game will begin at 6:40 p.m.

Luis Ortiz (6-4, 3.19 ERA) will pitch for the Pirates in Game 1, and Mitch Keller (11-9, 3.88 ERA) will follow in Game 2.

The game was called off about 30 minutes before it was supposed to begin. Although it wasn’t raining at the time, the radar indicated a strong line of severe thunderstorms moving toward Pittsburgh.
