Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb reaches out to catch a pass as he works out with wide receivers coach Robert Prince

The Miami Dolphins are hiring an experienced coach to lead their wide receivers.

Miami is bringing on Robert Prince, who was the Cowboys’ receivers coach, according to someone familiar with the hiring. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not publicly announced it yet.

Prince has worked in coaching for 19 years, most recently coaching star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb with Dallas starting in 2022. Before that, he coached in Detroit from 2014 to 2020 and also spent one year coaching in Houston in 2021.

Prince worked with Darrell Bevell, who is now the Dolphins’ quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator, when they were both in Detroit.

Prince will take over from Wes Welker, who was fired along with special teams coordinator Danny Crossman earlier this month. Welker had been the Dolphins’ wide receivers coach for three seasons.
