Kaiden Guhle had a goal and two assists, marking a career-high three points for him. Nick Suzuki and Mike Matheson also scored for Montreal, while Cayden Primeau made 36 saves to help Montreal break their four-game losing streak.
Despite being outshot 37-17, the Canadiens matched their season-high goal count. Jordan Eberle scored the lone goal for the Kraken, who have struggled to score throughout their losing streak.
Seattle coach Dave Hakstol expressed disappointment with the team’s performance, emphasizing the need to play with passion and heart.
Philipp Grubauer allowed four goals on six shots before being replaced by Joey Daccord.
The Canadiens took an early lead with two quick goals in the first period, and they added two more before the period ended. Seattle managed to score early in the second period, but Montreal responded with another goal later in the period.
Montreal defenseman Ryker Evans left the game in the first period due to a lower-body injury and did not return.
