J.T. Miller (NHL)

J.T. Miller has a no-move clause, which makes it harder for the Vancouver Canucks to trade him.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports that the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers have received permission to talk with Miller.

There were reports of trade talks between the Rangers and Canucks, but the deal fell through. The Hurricanes have also shown interest in Miller.

The Athletic mentioned that a disagreement over how to protect a first-round pick was a key issue that stopped the trade between the Rangers and Canucks.

NHL insider Frank Seravalli believes the Rangers hesitated to take on Miller’s full contract.

Miller’s reported conflict with Elias Pettersson has sparked media attention around the Canucks, leading the team to consider trading one of the two forwards.

The New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Miller.
