Cambridge native Jet Greaves continues to impress in his professional career and has been named an American Hockey League All-Star

The Columbus Blue Jackets showed they are committed to Jet Greaves by signing the 23-year-old goalie to a two-year contract.

According to the team, the contract covers both the NHL and AHL for the 2024-25 season, transitioning to exclusively NHL for 2025-26. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Greaves, who stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 191 pounds, has had limited NHL experience. He holds a 3-7-0 record with a 3.44 goals-against average and .912 save percentage in 10 career games with the Blue Jackets since his debut on Apr. 4, 2023, against Toronto.

During a standout performance on Dec. 8, Greaves set a franchise record for most saves in a goalie’s first career win by stopping 41 of 43 shots in a 5-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

Last season, Greaves earned an All-Star nod while playing for the Blue Jackets’ AHL affiliate in Cleveland. He finished the season with impressive stats: a 30-12-4 record, 2.93 goals-against average, .910 save percentage, and one shutout in 46 games.

Both Columbus goaltenders Elvis Merzlikins (13-17-0) and Daniil Tarasov (8-11-0) faced challenges last season due to injuries.
