The Miami Dolphins are set to ink cornerback Kendall Fuller to a two-year contract valued at $16.5 million, according to a source familiar with the negotiations who spoke to the Associated Press.

The deal, however, has yet to be finalized, and the source requested anonymity.

Fuller has spent the last four seasons with the Washington Commanders, returning to the team that initially drafted him in 2016’s third round after a brief stint with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2018 to 2019.

His tenure with the Chiefs included a Super Bowl victory in the 2019 season.

Despite concerns about injuries that caused him to slip to the third round in the draft, Fuller has proven to be one of the premier slot cornerbacks in the NFL, boasting 16 interceptions and 486 tackles over his eight-year career.

With Miami, Fuller is expected to slot in as a starting cornerback alongside Jalen Ramsey following the release of veteran Xavien Howard, the Dolphins’ longest-serving player.
