Dak Prescott has been leading the Cowboys as their quarterback for nine seasons now. He’s achieved a lot in terms of yards, touchdowns, and regular season victories.

However, he hasn’t managed to win a Super Bowl yet. In the playoffs, he’s only won two out of seven games, never advancing the Cowboys beyond the divisional round.

When you think of Cowboys quarterbacks who’ve won Super Bowls, names like Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman come to mind. They stand out from quarterbacks like Don Meredith, Danny White, Tony Romo, and Dak Prescott.

Despite the playoff disappointments, Troy Aikman, now working as an ESPN analyst, still believes in Prescott.

He compared Prescott’s situation to Peyton Manning’s early career struggles in the playoffs. Manning didn’t win his first playoff game until his sixth season, but eventually, he went on to win a Super Bowl in his ninth season.

Prescott’s contract with the Cowboys is coming to an end, and there’s uncertainty about his future with the team. He has clauses in his contract that give him control over potential trades or tags.

The Cowboys remain optimistic about reaching a long-term agreement with Prescott, but until that happens, there will always be questions about his future with the team, similar to the doubts surrounding his playoff performances.
