Blake Baggett’s disappearance after the 2020 racing season left fans puzzled, as he didn’t officially retire but simply vanished, characteristic of his independent nature. Despite this, his performance that season was impressive, notably winning a moto at RedBud and challenging Adam Cianciarulo for overall wins.

Baggett’s victory at RedBud remains KTM’s last AMA Pro Motocross 450 class win. However, he missed the final races due to a wrist injury, after which he disappeared from the racing scene.

Although Baggett hasn’t addressed his career, sightings at California tracks suggest his involvement in his son Braeker’s riding endeavors. He recently participated in the Stacyc Holeshot Challenge at the SuperMotocross World Championship Finale in Los Angeles, accompanying his son. Despite repeated attempts to reach him for comment on his career, Baggett has remained silent.

In a surprising turn, Baggett returned to the track after 1,282 days, marking his first ride since his disappearance. His presence on a Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, alongside factory team mechanics, hints at a potential comeback or continued involvement in the sport. However, with Baggett’s enigmatic nature, his intentions remain uncertain, leaving fans speculating about his next move.

Baggett’s reappearance is welcomed by fans, especially as he enjoys riding with his son, Braeker. Although his motives and future plans remain ambiguous, seeing “El Chupacabra” back on the bike brings excitement and curiosity to the motocross community.
