Cody Rhodes talked about the advice he got from WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page before he became WWE Undisputed Universal Champion at WrestleMania 40.
During a recent podcast episode, Rhodes shared his experience leading up to WrestleMania 40 and mentioned the encouraging words he received from Diamond Dallas Page. Rhodes remembered what Page told him before the big event.
“He said, ‘No matter what happens to you, it’ll be the best thing that ever happened to you,'” Rhodes revealed.
He explained that even though there was confusion among fans about whether he or The Rock would challenge Roman Reigns, he remained positive about the outcome.
While Rhodes was happy with the result at WrestleMania, he hinted at the challenges he faced leading up to the victory. He mentioned that fans might get to see behind-the-scenes footage of that time, as everything was being filmed.
“We filmed everything behind the scenes. Rock’s team and our team recorded everything. They’re finishing it up now, and I think they’ll add some other elements to it. Hopefully, it’ll be on YouTube soon.”
