Montour nets NHL’s fastest OT goal at 4 seconds

Brandon Montour made history with the fastest goal in NHL overtime, scoring just four seconds into the extra period to secure a 5-4 comeback win for the Seattle Kraken against the montreal Canadiens. The goal came after Chandler Stephenson won the faceoff and set up Montour for a swift shot past goalie Jakub Dobes.

This goal ties the record for the fastest start to any period in NHL history, with three other players achieving this feat in regulation play. Seattle had to overcome a two-goal deficit in the third period, with Jani Nyman scoring on a power play and Matty Beniers tying it up late in the game.

Montour also opened the scoring earlier in the game and finished with two assists. Eeli Tolvanen added his 19th career goal for Seattle,while Joey daccord made 21 saves to secure the win.
