Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard reacts at the end of the English Premier League soccer match

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta mentioned that he is still waiting for a clear timeline on Martin Odegaard’s recovery from his ankle ligament injury.

Scans showed that Arsenal’s captain suffered “significant” damage when he got hurt while playing for Norway this month.

He will miss the English Premier League game against Manchester City on Sunday, and Arteta stated that he is unsure when the playmaker will be back.

“We need to see the development in the next week or so, how the ankle reacts first of all and then the staff will give me an update on the timeframe and how long he’ll be out for,” Arteta said on Friday.

Manchester City might be without Kevin de Bruyne for the match at Etihad Stadium, as he seemed to injure himself before halftime of Wednesday’s Champions League game against Inter Milan.

Guardiola did not rule out the Belgian, saying he felt “a little better.”

De Bruyne’s condition will be checked during training on Saturday.
