Stefanos Tsitsipas tied the score for Team Europe against Team World at the Laver Cup by defeating Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-1, 6-4 on Friday.

Team World had taken the lead after Francisco Cerundolo from Argentina beat Casper Ruud from Norway 6-4, 6-4 in the first match of the indoor hard-court tournament, which is similar to golf’s Ryder Cup format.

Ruud, who is ranked No. 9, had 20 unforced errors and only 11 winners.

Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov was scheduled to play against Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo in the last singles match of the day.

The tournament will conclude on Sunday.

Each win in a match is worth one point on Friday, two points on Saturday, and three points on Sunday. The first team to reach 13 points wins.

Earlier on Friday, the Laver Cup and the ATP tour announced a five-year extension of their current agreement.
