Top prospect Jasson Domínguez was promoted by the New York Yankees to be the 27th player on their active roster for Sunday night’s Little League Classic against the Detroit Tigers.

Teams are allowed an extra player for this annual Classic, which takes place near the Little League World Series in South Williamsport.

The 21-year-old Domínguez hit four home runs in eight games for the Yankees last season, batting .258 before undergoing Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. The outfielder is expected to return to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after the game.
