Anthony Richardson (NFL)

Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been practicing throwing for a couple of months while he heals from the shoulder injury that ended his first season in the NFL. He’s being careful not to overexert himself as he gets back into the groove.

During one of Richardson’s workouts in Jacksonville, observed by Stephen Holder of ESPN.com, the quarterback extended his session with a few extra throws because he wasn’t satisfied with his last one.

Richardson acknowledged that he might have pushed himself harder in the past, but now aims to strike a balance between improvement and avoiding injury.

Richardson sees the 2024 season as a personal “mission” to showcase his skills after his rookie year was cut short. He believes that although he’s still a rookie at heart, he’s growing into the leadership role required by his team. Richardson says he’s prepared for any opportunities that come his way.

Selected as the fourth pick in last year’s draft, Richardson’s potential was evident during his time at Florida. The Colts only got a glimpse of his abilities last season and are eager for a longer opportunity to witness his talent in action this time.
