Jake Rosenberg, the Eagles’ Vice President of Football Administration, is leaving the team after his contract ends following the draft.

Rosenberg, who is a close friend of Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman, expressed his desire to become a General Manager himself, which he feels won’t happen while he’s with the Eagles.

“After a long time, I’ve realized that if I can’t advance in this league and have growth opportunities, then the sacrifices I make in my personal life won’t be worth it,” Rosenberg explained.

Roseman expressed regret at Rosenberg’s departure but respects his decision to seek new challenges.

“I wish we could retain him, but we’ve always discussed the importance of growth and seeking new challenges,” Roseman remarked. “He deserves the chance to explore his options, and I’m confident he’ll be successful.”

During his time with the Eagles, Rosenberg managed salary cap matters and contract negotiations under Roseman’s leadership. Now, he aims to find a role where he can be the decision-maker for another team.

“I’ve been involved in various aspects of team management, and while Howie makes the decisions here, I’m eager to see if I can implement my own strategies elsewhere,” Rosenberg said.

Rosenberg initially joined the Eagles in 2012 as the Manager of Football Administration.
