Joe Burrow in an interview

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has a specific timeframe in mind for his complete recovery from his right wrist injury.

Burrow underwent season-ending surgery to mend a torn ligament in his wrist sustained during a November matchup against the Ravens. Speaking to Ben Baby of ESPN.com, he mentioned that he has progressed to tossing small medicine balls and anticipates resuming throwing footballs during the team’s organized team activities this spring.

“I think the middle of May is when I am expecting to kind of be cleared for full contact and everything,” Burrow stated. “Over the next month [to] month and a half, we’ll kind of decide all those things.”

Burrow’s 2023 season commenced with a calf injury, and these two setbacks contributed to the team’s failure to reach the playoffs following two consecutive appearances in the Super Bowl and the AFC Championship Game.

Reflecting on last season, Burrow remarked, “The injuries were what they were last year, but we weren’t good enough in a lot of different places to make a Super Bowl run in my opinion,” and expressed eagerness about the challenge of reversing their fortunes in 2024.
