The Carolina Panthers bolstered their revamped secondary by signing free agent safety Jordan Fuller on Friday.

The 26-year-old Fuller, who spent his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, reunites with Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who previously served as his position coach. Drafted in the sixth round in 2020, Fuller started in all 17 games last season, tallying 94 tackles and three interceptions.

In 2021, Fuller led the Rams with 113 tackles, along with four passes defensed and one interception, under Evero’s guidance as the team’s secondary coach.

The terms of Fuller’s contract were not disclosed.

Fuller’s acquisition follows the Panthers’ release of safety Vonn Bell due to salary cap constraints and Jeremy Chinn’s departure to the Washington Commanders in free agency.
