With his vice presidential bid over, Aaron Rodgers will be busy with his day job until the 2024 season starts.

The Jets quarterback got injured during his fourth play for the team, tearing his left Achilles. He had surgery in September and has been rehabbing at his California home. The Jets opened his practice window in late November.

Jets coach Robert Saleh said Rodgers is working hard in California and is determined to achieve his goals. He expects Rodgers to join the team for offseason workouts.

The Jets traded for Rodgers, hoping he could lead them to the Super Bowl last season. But his injury dashed those hopes.

Now, some wonder if Rodgers, at 40 years old and recovering from an Achilles injury, can perform like he did in 2021 when he had a remarkable season. However, the Jets believe in him and expect him to bounce back.

Saleh said it’s realistic to expect the best from Rodgers, especially since Achilles injuries typically effect more mobile players. As long as Rodgers can maintain good footwork and throw well, he should be fine.
