The Chargers made changes to their roster as they approached the last weekend of preseason games.

The team announced they have added tight end Isaac Rex, who takes the place of defensive lineman Michael Mason, who was waived.

Rex, who went undrafted from BYU this year, had initially signed with the Lions but was released in May.

In college, he recorded 112 catches for 1,385 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The Chargers already have tight ends Hayden Hurst, Will Dissly, Donald Parham, Stone Smartt, Zach Heins, Luke Benson, and Tucker Fisk on their roster.

Mason had three tackles for the Chargers during the preseason.
