The Tennessee Titans made some changes to their secondary by bringing in two new starting cornerbacks, Chidobe Awuzie and L’Jarius Sneed, through signings and a trade with Kansas City.

Can they become the best in the NFL? General manager Ran Carthon believes it’s in their hands. “We made significant investments to bring those two guys on board,” Carthon said. “So I expect them to perform well.”

Sneed was introduced by the Titans after a busy free-agency period. They had to trade with Kansas City since the Chiefs used the non-exclusive franchise tag on him.

Sneed’s new contract makes him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the NFL. He’s excited to continue his role as a top cornerback in Tennessee under new defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson and coach Chris Harris.

Although the deal took some time to finalize due to logistics, Sneed is determined to prove his worth.

“I believe I deserve to be one of the highest-paid based on my performance last year,” Sneed said.

Money aside, Sneed remains focused on his aggressive style of play. He’s ready to face top wide receivers like DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley in practice and games.

The addition of Sneed and Awuzie is a significant upgrade for Tennessee, addressing a position that has been a concern in recent years despite previous attempts to fix it through the draft.
