Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is reportedly considering two prominent figures from the world of sports as potential running mates for his independent presidential ticket in the upcoming election.

According to a report by New York Times journalist Rebecca Davis O’Brien on Tuesday, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former professional wrestler Jesse Ventura are among the top contenders.

Rodgers, 40, currently slated to lead the Jets as their starting quarterback next season, has been an advocate for Kennedy’s campaign, as evidenced by his past social media posts.

Ventura, known for his wrestling career in the WWF during the 1980s and ’90s, served as the governor of Minnesota from 1998 to 2003.

Kennedy has reportedly been in regular communication with Rodgers over the past month, indicating a potential partnership in the making.

Despite Rodgers suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in the Jets’ 2023 opener, his illustrious career with the Green Bay Packers, which includes numerous playoff appearances and a Super Bowl title, has solidified his status as a future Hall of Famer.
