Liverpool Close In To Sign A Contract With Thiago Alcantara
Liverpool are being reported to have closed a deal with Bayern Munich to sign Thiago Alcantara.
The 2019-20 UEFA Champions League winner, Thiago Alcantara, is very close to signing a deal with the 2019-20 Premier League champions Liverpool FC. Thiago had a great season playing for Bayern Munich, where he won a treble. He scored three goals in the 42 appearances that he made for Bayern last season, which is not a huge goal count but the way he manages the entire midfield is genuinely amazing to watch. Thiago is a very tactical player who knows to choose the right pass at the right time. Liverpool is offering €30 million for the Spanish international in a four-year deal. Thiago’s contract with Bayern will end in one year, and the German side is happy to offer him to Liverpool this season.
Liverpool had a great season last time in the Premier League, but their loss against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 showed how much they require a big signing. Even though Liverpool has some great players in the midfield like Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Wijnaldum, and Fabinho, they still need a player to manage the midfield who knows how to break a counter-attack, which is how exactly they lost against Atletico Madrid. The Spanish superstar already sent a notice to Bayern that he wanted to leave this season, and his main target is to join the English giants. Manchester United was also very interested in signing the player. However, they did not even come close enough to present their bid.
